Perhaps raisin is not a basic food, but we must admit that raisin is widely used in dishes. We use raisin in cookies, bakery, and any other kinds of dishes. Raisin has a specific texture, it is delicate, and has a sweet taste.

RaisinRaisin (sometimes also known with currant) is found of having a high calories, fiber and minerals that contributes a lot for human body’s health. Raisin or currant is very helpful to protect human heart, and it is good for our digest.

1. Protecting Heart

Doctor Wu of Illinois’s University at Chicago, USA, points out that raisin contains compounds that is able to defy damage caused by bacteria which commonly fills teeth and gum. Intended compound is an antioxidant experiences.

Another research by L. Keen of Davis’s California University revealed that currant or raisin consumption regularly everyday for 4 weeks, will increase the antioxidant’s capacities plasmas, one that in turn down LDL’S oxidation runaway speed (criminal cholesterol). The obstruction of LDL’S oxidation runaway speed is all to the good for cardiovascular health step-up and preventing various degenerative disease which can cause coroner heart disease, stroke and hypertension.
