Lastochkino Gnezdo Castle is a symbol of the Autonomic Republic Crimea, Ukraine. The symbol can be considered like Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. Lastochkino Gnezdo Castle is very unique both in design and location.

The castle’s beauty is so amazing and it is located right on the edge of the rock. The magnificence of the castle is explained because of its natural location and apart of the rock it stands on and the Black Sea around it.

The Lastochkino Gnezdo Castle was previously built in wooden house namde Generalif, before bought by Baron Steingell of Rusia in 1911. The wooden house then being renovated into a stone-castle 1912 by a Russian architect A. Sherwood. On earthquake 1927, Lastochkino Gnezdo Castle building was damaged. Some parts of the rock had fallen away. The castle was closed for some moments then opened again in 1968 after reconstruction.
